The church was built around 450 AD on Roman ruins and was a three-aisled basilica. All the aisles in it are paved with miraculously preserved mosaics depicting mythical and real animals.

The Treasury
Presumably, this is a temple-tomb of a Nabataean king, which was created in the 1st century AD, but no one knows the exact purpose of the structure to this day. In ancient times, the entrance to the treasury was guarded by mythical demigods - the brothers Polulux and Castor, on the second tier there were depicted dancing Amazons with double-sided axes, and the roof was decorated with eagles.
